Gas meter installer — Nassau County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Nassau County, New York. The role involves: • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints What we are looking for: • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders We offer $4,700 per month plus benefits.
