You should have: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work The role involves sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec.
