Power press operator — Clinton County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a power press operator in Clinton County, Iowa. You will be based in a metal fabrication workshop. The role involves: • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean • Record output and downtime on the production sheet • Feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts You should have: • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
