Slinger signaller — Buchanan County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Buchanan County, Missouri. You will work at a container port. Your main tasks: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Confident with standard crane hand signals At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
