Core maker wanted in Macon County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Macon County, Alabama. The job is on the moulding line. Day-to-day duties: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
