Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigger in Charlevoix County, Michigan. You will be based on an offshore oil and gas platform. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Your main tasks: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear 4+ years on the tools preferred.
