Tailor machinist — Colleton County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Colleton County, South Carolina. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Ideal candidate: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines The role involves operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line.
