Immediate opening: machinist (Texas)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a machinist in Webb County, Texas. You will work on an export house sewing floor. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus The role involves: • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
