Machinist — Putnam County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a machinist in Putnam County, Missouri. The job is at a busy garment factory. You will trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes. Requirements: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown $3,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
