Brick mason — Washington County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brick mason in Washington County, Kansas. The job is on a commercial construction site. On the job you will handle: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
