Foundry labourer — Lake County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Lake County, Colorado. You will work at a busy iron foundry. Day to day you will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry We offer $3,000 per month plus benefits.
