Vacancy available: structural MIG welder (Virginia)

Now hiring: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Appomattox County, Virginia. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Day-to-day duties: • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols Requirements: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
