Argon welder — Fayette County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Fayette County, Georgia. You will be based at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Requirements: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium The role involves: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
