Argon arc welder — Genesee County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Genesee County, Michigan. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. On a typical shift you will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage 3+ years on the tools preferred. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
