Vacancy available: we are hiring a plant operator (dozer) in Howard County, Nebraska. You should have: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes Day-to-day duties: • Strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse • Rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank • Work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals • Maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear • Grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms • Cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes Rotating shifts.
