Baker — Madison County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a baker in Madison County, Kentucky. The job is in a hotel pastry kitchen. On a typical shift you will knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer; roll out short-crust and biscuit dough; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them. You should have: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $8,500 per project, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
