Now hiring: we are hiring a plant operator in Cumberland County, Illinois. You will work in a textile mill. Requirements: • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills • Knowledge of lockout-tagout and machine safety • 1-2 years' experience operating production machinery Your main tasks: • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges • Load raw material and feed stock into the machine hopper • Key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature • Run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing • Report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter We offer $17 per hour plus benefits.
