On the job you will handle: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
