Garment presser — Defiance County

Join our team: we are hiring a garment presser in Defiance County, Ohio. You will be based at a garment factory. Day to day you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; give each garment a final press before packing; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number. Requirements: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
