Argon arc welder wanted in Smith County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Smith County, Kansas. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Requirements: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection On the job you will handle: • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
