Rigger — Plymouth

On the job you will handle: • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Part-time with flexible hours.
