Vacancy available: we are hiring a container truck driver in Johnson County, Iowa. What we are looking for: • Willing to take on night and multi-day trips • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience Day-to-day duties: • Plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels Part-time with flexible hours. $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
