Day-to-day duties: • Recover the refrigerant before dismantling or relocating a unit • Wire the indoor-to-outdoor interconnecting cable and connect the isolator • Fault-find on PCBs, sensors and compressors with a multimeter • Cut, flare and bend copper pipe for the liquid and suction lines • Braze pipe joints and pressure-test with dry nitrogen for leaks • Run and lag the condensate drain line with the right fall Ideal candidate: • Confident brazing copper and running nitrogen pressure tests • Can read electrical and piping schematics 3+ years on the tools preferred.
