Foundry labourer • Central Bedfordshire, England

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Central Bedfordshire, England. On a typical shift you will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Pay around £2,950 per month, based on your experience.
