Bar bender and fixer — Prince William County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Prince William County, Virginia. The job is at a high-rise construction project. The role involves: • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing You should have: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
