Cold room technician • Wayne County, Illinois

Great opportunity: we are hiring a cold room technician in Wayne County, Illinois. You will work at a busy refrigeration workshop. The role involves clean condenser and evaporator coils; recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system; check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge; pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture; braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch. What we are looking for: • Own a set of hand tools and a gauge manifold • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds • ITI or diploma in refrigeration / RAC trade On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
