Rebar worker — Lamar County

Join our team: we are hiring a rebar worker in Lamar County, Alabama. You will be based at a rebar fabrication workshop. Day to day you will fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust. What we are looking for: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Six days a week, one day off.
