Now hiring: we are hiring a car painter in Del Norte County, California. You will be based in a car refinishing workshop. You should have: • Sound knowledge of 2K paints, primers and hardeners • Good eye for colour matching and blending • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns On a typical shift you will prime and seal bare metal to stop rust; mix two-pack (2K) clear coat with hardener in the correct ratio; check the colour match under booth lights against the maker's swatch; bake panels in the spray booth oven to cure the paint; compound and polish the cured finish to a high gloss; mask off trim, glass and rubber seals with tape and paper.
