Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Your main tasks: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
