Rebar foreman wanted in Bedford

Great opportunity: we are hiring a rebar foreman in Bedford, England. The job is at a precast concrete yard. Your main tasks: • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder Ideal candidate: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
