You should have: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Day-to-day duties: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts Rotating shifts.
