Gang bricklayer • Hertfordshire, England

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Hertfordshire, England. You will be based on a new-build development. On the job you will handle: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod What we are looking for: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks 4+ years on the tools preferred.
