Bakery assistant — Blackford County

Join our team: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Blackford County, Indiana. You will be based at a café with an on-site bakery. Requirements: • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Food handler / hygiene certificate Day to day you will monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials; knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer; proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them; decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; check finished products for colour, crumb and weight.
