Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Cooke County, Texas. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Ideal candidate: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Day to day you will inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
