Offshore rigger • North Tyneside, England

Vacancy available: we are hiring an offshore rigger in North Tyneside, England. You will be based at a container port. You will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks. What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket We offer £18 per hour plus benefits.
