EHS coordinator wanted in Sarasota County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an EHS coordinator in Sarasota County, Florida. You will work at a manufacturing plant. Day-to-day duties: • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry Requirements: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
