Vertical milling machine operator — Steuben County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Steuben County, New York. You will be based at a fabrication and machining plant. Your main tasks: • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges You should have: • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $5,100 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
