Vertical milling machine operator • Mingo County, West Virginia

Vacancy available: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Mingo County, West Virginia. You will be based at a fabrication and machining plant. On a typical shift you will set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square. You should have: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade Full-time with occasional weekends.
