Ironing operator — Box Butte County

Join our team: we are hiring an ironing operator in Box Butte County, Nebraska. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. Day-to-day duties: • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board Ideal candidate: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Performance bonus on top of base pay.
