Tiling assistant • North Tyneside, England

Immediate opening: we are hiring a tiling assistant in North Tyneside, England. You will be based at a bathroom renovation job. Your main tasks: • Match the tile pattern and coursing across the walls • Apply a waterproofing membrane in showers and wet areas • Lay floor and wall tiles to plumb and level using a spirit level • Spread adhesive with a notched trowel and back-butter the tiles • Check the falls to floor wastes so the water drains away • Run silicone sealant into corners and expansion joints What we are looking for: • Able to work to deadlines on busy sites • Own a basic set of tiling tools (trowels, spacers, levels) Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
