Ideal candidate: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron On a typical shift you will monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square.
