Now hiring: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Jefferson County, Illinois. You will work on the moulding line. Day to day you will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle. What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
