Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Rappahannock County, Virginia. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. The role involves: • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Requirements: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Six days a week, one day off.
