Trowel-trade bricklayer • Mason County, Texas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Mason County, Texas. The job is on a new-build development. You should have: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) The role involves mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays.
