Pipe TIG welder — Hyde County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Hyde County, South Dakota. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. You will inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool. Ideal candidate: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
