Vacancy available: we are hiring a rigger in Botetourt County, Virginia. The role involves: • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use You should have: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams 1+ years on the tools preferred.
