Join our team: we are hiring a carpenter in McDowell County, West Virginia. You will work on a commercial fit-out site. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • Good eye for detail and a clean finish • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers The role involves cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw; measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level; hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles; read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
