Safety marshal — Sierra County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a safety marshal in Sierra County, New Mexico. You will be based at a manufacturing plant. You should have: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Day-to-day duties: • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Pay around $5,500 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
