Immediate opening: we are hiring a PVC window assembler in Story County, Iowa. The job is on site fitting windows in new-build flats. What we are looking for: • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges You will insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it; glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square; fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash; clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash; drill drainage and pressure-equalisation slots in the outer frame; fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Contact us to fix an interview.
