Immediate opening: tig welder (Texas)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Gregg County, Texas. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Day to day you will set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
